Skywalk Unterstell
The massive "Skywalk" -- the only viewing platform in the province with these dimensions -- is accessed easily in a few minutes from the top station of the Unterstell cable car above the village of Naturns. The view from the platform, which cantilevers 16 metres and is 60 metres above the ground, over the Vinschgau Valley is breathtaking.
The structure weighs 9 tons and consists of 6 individual parts assembled on site. The two resulting individual parts were mounted to the anchor points with the help of winches. Since there is a good access road, it was possible to complete without a time-consuming and costly assembly by helicopter.
